Take the JR Tokaido Shinkansen to Maibara Station.
Change trains at Maibara and take JR Biwako Line to Kyoto. You can reach Azuchi by local train only. If you catch an express train, change at Hikone or Notogawa for a local train.
Azuchi is approximately 25 minutes from Maibara.
Coming from Kyoto/ Osaka:
Take the JR Biwako Line to Maibara. You can reach Azuchi only by local train. If you catch an express train, change at Omihachiman for a local train.
Azuchi is approximately 46 minutes from Kyoto Station and 64 minutes from Osaka station.

Please turn north at the Nishoraicho crossroad.
